Farms Will Not Attend UNC

Johnnie Farms will not be attending North Carolina. The four-star offensive lineman confirmed the development to InsideCarolina.com on Friday.

Farms, a 6-foot-2, 306-pound offensive guard, signed with UNC last February. However, after failing to achieve a sufficient board score coming out of Perry (Ga.) High School, he enrolled at Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy.

Farms got a qualifying score in early November and two weeks later was in Chapel Hill for his official visit, with the plan to enroll at UNC in January. But, according to sources close to the situation, Farms was dismissed from Hargrave shortly thereafter for violations of school policy.

Upon learning of the dismissal and reviewing the situation, North Carolina was unable to admit Farms, the star prospect confirmed on Friday afternoon.
