Hill, a 6-foot-4, 245-pound defensive end from Shallotte (N.C.) West Brunswick, selected Alabama over UNC in early September.
"It's a very hard commitment," Hill said. "Right now, on Signing Day I know for sure I'm going to Alabama."
Hill's verbal commitment to Alabama never slowed UNC's recruiting efforts.
"They've stayed on me," Hill said. "They said they'd stay in it with me until it's too late and they can't recruit me anymore."
John Blake and Sam Pittman are recruiting Hill for UNC. Hill says he talks to a UNC representative roughly twice a week.
"[They discuss] education, staying in-state, how I really don't want to go that far away from home, [and how] Coach Blake is one of the best defensive line coaches in the nation," Hill said.
Hill says location is still a non-factor.
Last Tuesday, Hill hosted Butch Davis for an in-home visit.
"He was just talking about academics and what part he thinks I would play [at UNC]," Hill said. "And he was talking about me staying in-state."
Additionally, Davis attempted to pursue Hill to officially visit UNC.
"He was real hard on [getting me to officially visit] – like getting me to come up there and look around – because I'm from the state and he doesn't want to lose one of his in-state players," Hill said.
In late October, Hill took an official visit to Alabama. He says UNC will be the only other school to receive an official visit from him, if he does indeed decide to officially visit.
Despite rumors suggesting otherwise, Hill said he fully expects to qualify and meet all requirements to enroll at Alabama or UNC.
Hill, who played in the Under Armour All-American Game, ended his senior football season with 80 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, and a fumble return touchdown. He also returned an onsides kick attempt for a touchdown.
