However, Davis says the visit didn't alter his commitment status. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound cornerback Cape Coral (Fla.) remains solidly committed to Miami, the school he pledged to in May.
"It was nice being [at UNC] – I had a good time," Davis said. "But I'm still firm to Miami."
Davis, who made the official visit without family members, was hosted by Mywan Jackson, a sophomore cornerback and fellow Florida native.
"He's from Florida, too, so I had a nice time with him," Davis said. "He showed me around. He told me that everyone around the school treats you well and you don't have to worry about anything."
Throughout his stay, Davis constantly conversed with every member of UNC's coaching staff. Although the topic of switching his commitment was brought up, Davis says he never felt pressured.
Before heading to the airport Sunday afternoon, Davis met with Butch Davis.
"[He discussed] what I'd had to do to come there," Davis said. "He talked about the school and his background."
Davis has an official visit to Miami scheduled for the weekend of Jan. 29.
