Davis 'Very Questionable' for N.C. State

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- Ed Davis is listed as questionable for Tuesday night's contest against N.C. State. The sophomore forward missed last Wednesday's game against Wake Forest due to a sprained left ankle.

"It's a question as to whether or not he's going to be able to play tomorrow night or not," UNC head coach Roy Williams told reporters during the ACC teleconference on Monday. "If we had played the game yesterday, I would not have played him.

"We have tried to get him involved in practice a little bit Saturday and a little bit Sunday, and he's just not at the level that he can really push off the ankle and jump off that leg. It's very questionable as to whether he'll play tomorrow night. It would have to be, in my mind, a very significant improvement to be able to do that."

Davis started the first 18 games of the season and is second on the team in minutes per game. He leads the Tar Heels in rebounding (9.8) and blocked shots (2.9) and is second in scoring (14.8).
