"I like their linebackers. All of their linebackers run under a 4.5 [40-yard dash], so I like the speed they have. Most times you only see SEC teams with speed like that."
Because of that defense, Bigger, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker from Gastonia (N.C.) Ashbrook, lists UNC among his favorite schools.
"Some of the schools I really like are North Carolina, Virginia, Arkansas, [and] Maryland," Bigger said. "All of them have a good defense. There's no slack on defense, just going all out."
Bigger attended UNC's Spring Game with his teammate and fellow UNC recruit Norkeithus Otis.
Before and after the game, Bigger spoke to Art Kaufman, UNC's linebacker coach.
"He was just talking about how he's glad we came to see the Spring Game," Bigger said. "He asked me how much I weighed, because he noticed that I've been in the weight room. We did a lot of joking around and having fun."
Kaufman didn't discuss that status of a possible UNC scholarship offer for Bigger.
"He should be seeing my junior tape soon," Bigger said. "He hasn't seen my junior tape; they've only seen my sophomore tape from my last school. From what I know, my junior tape is being sent to him soon."
Bigger has, though, received scholarship offers from Arkansas, East Carolina, Maryland, South Carolina, and Virginia.
Saturday was Bigger's second visit to UNC. He previously attended the football game against East Carolina last fall.
"Really, I felt the same as the first visit," Bigger said. "It's just like home, basically. It's close to the house so my parents could see me play. I like the atmosphere."
Besides UNC, Bigger has visited Clemson, NC State, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt. He doesn't have any future trips planned, but hopes to visit Florida, Miami, and Virginia at some point.
