"Coach McGrath is coming," Cook said. "I know he's coming this week. He was supposed to come a couple of weeks ago but we went out of town. I think he's coming sometime this week."
As the spring has progressed, so has Cook's offer list. Currently he has offers from Arizona, Maryland, Georgetown, Virginia, Washington, Kansas, Notre Dame, Indiana and Kansas State. UNC, Kentucky and UCLA are also in the mix.
"It's great," he said of his recruitment. "I'm just loving the attention. Sometime next week me and my mom, Curtis [Malone] and coach [Mike] Jones are going to have a sit down and cut my list down to 15. I don't really have a solid list and it's just everywhere right now.
"I want to start taking unofficials and establishing my relationships with the coaches and just start studying the schools more."
As far as North Carolina's recruitment goes, Cook said they have not offered and are developing a relationship and continuing to evaluate his progress.
"I guess they just want to establish a relationship with me and things like that," he said. "I've been focusing on everybody. With our conversations they are just trying to get to know me. I went down to Late Night with Roy and that was fun - I had a great time."
Cook, Scout.com's No. 31 prospect in the Class of 2011, wants to start the serious visit process soon. He said he plans to visit Kentucky in the near future as well as Arizona in June.
