In-State OL Plans to Camp at UNC

WINTERVILLE, N.C. --- Despite his size and college interest, Tre Robertson has thus far eluded media coverage.

"I don't know how many offers I have – my coaches handle all of that," Robertson said. "I know I have a bunch. I know East Carolina, Ohio, and Kansas have offered."

Additionally, several schools have sent representatives to Roxboro (N.C.) Person County High School to further evaluate Robertson, a 6-foot-4, 317-pound offensive lineman. Maryland, North Carolina, and NC State were among the schools to drop by.

UNC in particular has been recruiting Robertson since last fall. Since then, he has had several conversations with Ken Browning, his primary recruiter.

"Lately, [Browning] has been talking to me about coming to their camp," Robertson said.

In addition to accepting Browning's invitation, Robertson plans to camp at Duke, East Carolina, and NC State this summer.

Robertson is no stranger to Chapel Hill. He attended a couple football games at Kenan Stadium last season, as well as the Tar Heels' Spring Game a month ago.

"It's a beautiful campus," Robertson said. "I always enjoy my time there."

Robertson has also made unofficial trips to East Carolina, NC State, and Virginia Tech.

Robertson, who isn't sure when he'll make a verbal commitment, favors two in-state schools – East Carolina and UNC.

"I like that [those schools] have a good education and have a good football program," Robertson said.

Most schools are recruiting Robertson as a right tackle.

Following his junior season, Robertson was named All-Pac 6 Conference for his play at offensive tackle.
