"When I first talked to Roy I was kind of excited," Behanan said. "He left me a message on my answering machine and I called him back. He was telling me that when he came to the [adidas Inviational] in Indiana that of all the people there I stood out more to him."
"That's all he said," Behanan added. "He said he wants to get me down on a visit and that he was going to come visit me. He didn't really go into detail about the way he's going to recruit and his program so hopefully he does that on his home visit."
Behanan currently lists six schools – North Carolina, Louisville, Kentucky, Ohio State, West Virginia and Texas. North Carolina is the only one of the bunch that hasn't offered him a scholarship.
Behanan visited Louisville on Wednesday and took trips to Kentucky and Ohio State within the last two weeks. West Virginia is up next, as he'll head to Morgantown (W.Va.) on September 4th.
Although North Carolina doesn't have a visit set up, the Tar Heel staff is planning to visit him in early September.
"They are coming in on a home visit next month on [September] 9th," Behanan said.
"I've only talked to coach Roy once on the phone," he said. "He hasn't really kept in touch. Hopefully I talk to him before he comes so we can touch base."
Behanan, who checked in at No. 29 in Scout.com's updated class rankings, is still planning to make his decision in the spring.
