Seffner (Fla.) Armwood defensive back Dedarallo Blue is up to three FCS offers after a strong spring showing including one from North Dakota State. BisonReport.com spoke with Blue to learn more about his recruiting.
"I received an offer from North Dakota State yesterday afternoon," Blue said to the Bison Report. "I was on the phone with their head coach, Coach Klieman and they really like me and want me to be a part of their program. They wanted to offer because of my playing style on defense as I can bring a lot to the table. They think I can play wither corner, safety or outside linebacker and I'm a very physical player, which they like."
Blue is still learning more about the green and gold.
"Coach Austin is the NDSU coach who came down this spring and he's been talking to me over social media saying how he likes the way I play ball and that I have some speed to me," Blue explained. "I know that NDSU is really good and that it's very cold up there and that's okay with me. I want to leave the state of Florida and find something new out there. I don't really like any schools in Florida as I don't think I'm a good fit and I want to try something new."
The Florida defender has a few schools close to making an offer, but NDSU has already caught his eye.
"I hear from schools like Marshall, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Georgia Southern and Western Illinois that they like me and are close to offer, but we'll see. I really like the Bison as I've been talking with them since my state championship game and showed a lot of love to me during that time. They've came down and watched me practice and we've talked on the phone like every week. I really like the program, fans and their winning tradition. I'm trying to set up a visit now, maybe one during the summer and for an official visit. I want to go up there when it snows as I've never seen snow."
Blue still will take his time with recruiting.
"Well I'm going to take a visit to Mercer soon, plus Georgia Southern. I'll also try to get up to NDSU this fall, but it'll probably be an official with finances. I don't have any top schools right now, but I do like NDSU."
