Davis just wants to be the best he can be

With only a few days and weeks left until the 2015 class arrives on campus in Fargo, the Bison Report spoke with each of the 2015 signees to learn more about their recruiting process and what NDSU fans can look forward to. We continue with Illinois defensive back Dom Davis.

What was the main reason you chose to attend North Dakota State University?

DD: The love and support from everyone around.

What is it about Coach Klieman and the coaching staff that makes you want to play for them?

DD: They want you to be the best version of yourself as you can.

What is something you learned about North Dakota State University that surprised you during the recruiting process?

DD: How crazy the coaches are. It's so exciting to see them so pumped!!

What position do you expect to play at NDSU? What other position did the Bison staff mention as a possibility?

DD: I will be playing cornerback. I don't know if they are thinking about other positions but whatever will help the team I will do it.

What have the coaches told you regarding how they plan to utilize your strengths as a player?

DD: Well I don't know about that. But I have speed!

Have you had any communication with other NDSU recruits and if so what?

DD: Yes, I have had a conversation with everyone in my class. Love my class we are something special!

What is your current height and weight? What weight would the Bison staff like you to report at in the summer?

DD: I am 5'11 174 lbs. I am not sure, but I will put on a lot.

What are your individual and team goals you hope to accomplish during your college career?

DD: Getting a ring with my boys is always the big goal! I just want to be one of the best. To do that I have to put in the work like the best.

What did you work on most this spring to prepare yourself for Missouri Valley football?

DD: Main things was footwork and technique.

What future moment are you looking forward to the most as a Bison?

DD: Holding up that championship trophy.

What team do you want to beat the most as a Bison and why?

DD: Has to be SIU-Carbondale. I have friends that go there and I just want to shut them up and show them what NDSU football about.

Is there any unfinished academic business or are you all set to enroll at NDSU?

DD:I am ready. Set to enroll

If you don't make it to the NFL, where do you see yourself in 10 years?

DD: A math teacher and football coach at my old high school.

What player do you model your game after and why?

DD: I don't really look model after anyone. I just watch all of them and see how they do everything. Then I try it out to see how it works with me.
