NDSU has been on a hot streak in the couple of weeks and that continued this morning when Minot's Braydon Lund decided to jump on board. The BisonReport spoke with Lund to learn more about his decision.

"I called Coach Hedberg and committed this morning," Lund said to the BisonReport. "He was excited when I told him the news so that felt pretty good. He just said that he was excited to get another North Dakota kid and that he's excited for the future. I also messaged some with Coach Roehl and he was pumped."

Staying home was an important factor for Lund.

"I felt comfortable there, the coaches were fun to learn from and play in front of at the camp," Lund explained about his NDSU decision. "I wanted to talk things over with my mom first and that was easy as she was happy with whatever I decided. Staying in-state definitely meant something as I've watched the Bison growing up and it'll be easier for my family to come watch and be a part of my future with NDSU. I chose NDSU over North Dakota as it seemed like they wanted me more and they want the best for me as a football player and a person."

The Bison coaches have a plan for the Minot athlete.

"North Dakota State sees me as either a tight end or defensive end," Lund told the BisonReport. "I don't have a preference to either position as of now, but I plan on using this season as a tool to help decide. I loved working with Coach Cain and Riley at camp as they seem to love what they're doing. They haven't laid out a plan for me yet, but they believe I'll be successful at either position."

Lund has a message for NDSU fans.

"I just want them to know that I'm happy to have the honor of becoming part of the family and tradition."
