Iowa WR Jalen Rima holds offers from NDSU, Northern Iowa and Western Illinois so far and he camped at in Fargo this past weekend. The BisonReport spoke with Rima to learn more.
"The camp and visit were good," Rima said to the BisonReport. "The coaches said they like me a lot and have a lot of interest, so hopefully in a couple of weeks, they tell me an offer amount. They didn't tell me a number specifically, but just said it's high up there."
This was Rima's first visit this summer to Fargo.
"It's nice there, I like it," Rima explained. "Working with Coach Austin was good as he helped me a lot with some things I need to work on such as my routes and get off on the ball. I spoke with Coach Klieman and he just talked about how my baseball season went and he's good friends with my grandpa, so he asked about him and then thanked me for coming. My grandpa is the announcer for UNI and Coach Klieman was there for awhile so they got to know each other."
The Iowa wide receiver had his parents with on the trip and they enjoyed things as well.
"My parents came with and they like it there too," Rima said. "They just want me to be happy, so they don't really care where I go. My favorite part of the weekend was the one on ones, talking to the Bison coaches and seeing how nice the FargoDome is. I was looking forward to those most and they didn't disappoint. Once I fixed the things they told me to in one on ones, I did well. We couldn't practice in the dome as wrestling was in there, but it looked real nice when we walked in."
NDSU is high on the list for Rima.
"I like them a lot," Rima told the BisonReport. "After seeing everything, working with the coaches and having my parents up there, I feel good about them. I'm still deciding, but NDSU is high on my list. Iowa State wants me to grayshirt and Iowa said they are late with giving scholarships, so I could still get one so not until next year. Iowa State showed a lot of interest, so I thought I was getting a scholarship, but turns out I didn't. Iowa also hasn't really talked to me since camp, so we'll see. I'm looking to decide during or after my season."
Rima has a great time at NDSU's camp
