Wisconsin DL Cameron Hackl talks about his upcoming official visit to NDSU

NDSU will have two official visitors on campus this weekend for the Bison's game versus South Dakota, including Wisconsin defensive lineman Cameron Hackl. He previews his upcoming visit with the BisonReport.

"Well I still have a lot of schools interested," Cameron Hackl explained to the BisonReport. "Serious ones that I don't have an offer from yet are NDSU, Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois, so I'll be taking an official visit to NDSU this weekend. NDSU has been telling me that they really want me and are excited to see how I fit in. DT coach Goeser said I'm their number one guy on the board for an interior lineman. The main thing for me is just getting some senior film out and thing will start to happen then. Coach Goeser and I spoke this past weekend and that's when he set up the official visit was set up and he was out to see me live at a game earlier this fall. I already visited SIU and planning visits at the other schools interested too, just so I can get a good feel for all of them."

Hackl has some things he's looking forward to seeing in Fargo this weekend.

"I'm looking forward to my officials and narrowing it down to the school that I choose," Hackl said. "What I know about NDSU is how successful their program has been and how crazy their fan base is. They like how physical I am, how I hustle to the ball, my ability to rush the passer and work on the outside as well. NDSU has told me I'm an offer kid, just not sure at what level yet. A lot of it has to do with my senior film, so we'll see."

A decision could be coming in the next few weeks for the Wisconsin defender.

"It's hard to tell, but I'm looking to have a decision by late October or early November," Hackl told the BisonReport. "I'd like more time to get a better feel and visit SIU, NDSU and NIU. Those are my top three. I loved SIU's campus, but NIU and NDSU have more impressive programs and fan bases. Plus, NIU is only four hours away. It'd be an honor to receive an offer from NDSU as to be able to have the opportunity to play for such a prestigious program and city."
