Florida CB Felix Dixon commits to NDSU

Florida CB Felix Dixon committed to NDSU Sunday while on his official visit to Fargo and he spoke with the BisonReport about his decision.

"I really enjoyed the atmosphere and they knew me before I even arrived," Florida CB Felix Dixon said about his NDSU official visit. "The coaching staff was amazing and they loved me. I had a great talk with all of the coaches, even the head coach and the fans are amazing. They also really enjoyed me. I can see myself being a bison and I feel really blessed and felt loved when I was there."

Dixon had a full plate while on his visit.

"I did a lot of things such as see all of the facilities," Dixon explained. "I also visited a building they were working on, which was very cool as it'll be a new basketball gym, with a bigger and better weight room. I enjoyed some dinner with the coaches and we talked about the tough loss. I also spoke with the head academic adviser and she told me that I always have to have a back up plan. I'm looking into athletic training and they're good with that and she also told me that she would stay on me hard, making sure I get a great tutor and not miss any classes. I loved that. My host for the visit was Dom Davis and he was very chill, laid back and motivating. As far as the game, the fans were everything and I loved my first time being in a dome."

The Florida defensive back also spoke a lot with the Bison coaches.

"I talked a lot with Coach Austin, their DB coach and Coach Klieman. Coach Austin told me to do what's best for me and that he hopes I loved it up there. He also told me that the coaching staff enjoyed having me. The head coach told me that they've been keying on me for a minute now and about how it's a great program up there. He also said he'll be there for the next six years and to just always stay humble. They offered me Sunday before I left as Coach Klieman told me that they wanted to offer me a full ride and I told him immediately that I would be proud to be a Bison and I'd love to commit, so I do. He was real happy and the coaching staff went crazy. They want me as a corner and a kick returner as they said I have a knack for making plays. I wanted to commit as I felt like I can make a difference there."

Dixon still wants to visit some other places despite his NDSU commitment.

"I'm committed to North Dakota State right now, but I'm still enjoying the recruiting process. I want to visit Alcorn State and SE Missouri State soon, but I haven't set those up yet. I want NDSU fans to know, "BisoNation Standup!"
