"Coach Klieman offered me about 11:30 AM this morning and he really like my maturity, the way I present myself on the field and my ability on and off the field," Michigan defensive back Tru Wilson said to the BisonReport. "He also told me they'll be sending the safety coach over to see him on Thursday as well. I think this new offer is a great opportunity to play for a great program."
Wilson had a full slate for his visit to Fargo.
"I had a chance to hang out with the players and coaches, went to their basketball game, saw the national championship presentation and went bowling as well," Wilson explained. "My host for the visit was running back Bruce Anderson and he's a real laid back guy. It was cool to get to know him and ask him about NDSU. He told me that it was a great decision to come on the visit to NDSU and he was talking up their program. The basketball game was cool as the place was packed as well. I also talked to all of the coaches as well. I really liked talking with Coach Roehl as it was fun talking to him because he player there and now he's a coach. My favorite part of the visit was the food and hanging out with the players playing some Xbox."
The Michigan defensive back could potentially play early at NDSU.
"The coaches were talking about me playing nickle early and then moving me to safety," Wilson told the BisonReport. "I just want to get on the field early and play as soon as possible, so it's good. I'm feeling pretty good about NDSU as it was an awesome experience. I'm glad I could finally get up there."
Wilson hopes to have a decision soon.
"Right now my top three are NDSU, Navy and Air Force in no order. I don't have any other official visits set and I'm hoping to have a decision made in the next week. I have to have a spot on the team I choose if nothing comes in."
