NDSU WR walk-on signee Trevor Heit wants to prove the Bison coaches right

Pepin (Wis.) wide receiver and new NDSU signee Trevor Heit is the latest Bison to sign in the 2016 class and he went in-depth with the BisonReport.com to share more about his reasons to sign with North Dakota State.

BisonReport.com: What is your current height and weight? What weight would the NDSU staff like you to report at this summer?

TH: I'm currently 5'9" 170 lbs and the head coach didn't want me to worry about gaining weight so 175 ibs is where he wants me

BisonReport.com: What are your individual and team goals you hope to accomplish during your college career?

TH: Team goal keep winning those championships and as an individual, I want be the top receiver at NDSU and maybe get a shot at the NFL.

BisonReport.com: What are you looking to work on the most this spring to prepare yourself for Missouri Valley football?

TH: Keep working on my speed get my 40 down to a 4.45.

BisonReport.com What future moment are you looking forward to the most as a Bison?

TH: Winning some national championships and conference championships with my teammtes.

BisonReport.com: What was the main reason you chose to attend North Dakota State University?

TH: My goal was D1 and the coaches at NDSU saw me at camp and gave me the opportunity I was working for.

BisonReport.com: What team do you want to beat the most as a Bison and why?

TH: When we play Oregon, that's who I want to beat the most.

BisonReport.com: Is there any unfinished academic business or are you all set to enroll at NDSU?

TH: I'm set to enroll at NDSU, I just have to finish my dorm stuff.

BisonReport.com: If you don't make it to the NFL, where do you see yourself in 10 years?

TH: Coaching and helping athletes train so they can reach their goals as an athlete.

BisonReport.com: What is it about Coach Klieman and the coaching staff that makes you want to play for them?

TH: The coaching staff looked past my size and believe in me and my abilities to play football.

BisonReport.com: What is something you learned about North Dakota State University that surprised you during the recruiting process?

TH: They fly to all their games.

BisonReport.com: What position do you expect to play at NDSU? What other position did the Bison staff mention as a possibility?

TH: My position would be slot reciever and return man.

BisonReport.com: What have the coaches told you regarding how they plan to utilize your strengths as a player?

TH: The coaches told me they would try to do whatever to get the ball in my hands in open field with just a couple people to beat whether that be jet sweeps or quick slants. Also returning punts and kicks.

BisonReport.com: Have you had any communication with other NDSU recruits and if so what?

TH: No.

BisonReport.com: What player do you model your game after and why?

TH: Finally reading what some Bison fans have been posting, Ryan Smith is who I expect to be like.
