"I've been talking to a few schools, but the one with the most interest is Western Michigan who has high interest and is looking to offer me next time I go visit," Wisconsin defensive end Logan McCormick said to the BisonReport. "I have also been in contact with Illinois State, Northern Illinois, SDSU and NDSU. Wisconsin has talked to me a little bit about going to their camp this summer and trying out playing tight end or a fullback position. I also just took some visits to NDSU and SDSU, so things are going great."
McCormick enjoyed his time at NDSU on Friday.
"I loved NDSU's campus as well as coaching staff. Really excited to continue being in contact with them," McCormick explained to the BisonReport. "While on my visit there, I talked to a lot of the coaches, watched some film with the defensive ends coach, toured the Fargodome and then ended with a tour of the campus. I really like the Fargodome as there's a great environment there and Thunderstuck is my song. Coach Cain, the DE coach, and I just went over some of their schematics and what they'd expect me to be able to learn and eventually do when playing if I decided to go there. It's definitely something I'd have to spend some time getting to understand, but I would be willing to learn and play it. They talked about me being a definite contender for a scholarship spot, but they have a pretty giid group. It will take some more communication back and forth to be sure about it."
The Wisconsin DE picked up his first offer on Saturday while at SDSU.
"That visit went great as I loved meeting with their staff. I really made a strong connection with their defensive end coach, and their head coach was a great man who really wants what's best for everyone. Coach Brown was the one who offered me, and was unbelievable. It was one of my dreams to get a division one offer and now they're starting to come true."
The Kimberly standout has a few more visits coming.
"I'm going to NIU sometime this week or weekend and Western Michigan wants me to come back for a visit, but it will be hard to do with track coming. An NDSU offer would be an awesome feeling. Knowing that they're the best of the best in FCS, and could probably compete with a lot of FBS schools, it would be a very great feeling."
