"Coach Klieman offered me today after track practice," South Carolina QB Jay Urich said about his new NDSU offer. "He just was asking about how my day was and how my family was. I really like how he puts family first. Then he said I had a full scholarship to NDSU as he loved the way I threw it, my footwork, and loved my character. I'm honored to get this offer. I have a really great coach and he's taught me a lot about football, but about life as well. He cares about all of the kids he coaches."

Urich does know a bit about the Bison.

"I know that NDSU is a great school and that Carson Wentz is really good," Urich explained. "They develop quarterbacks, and I hear the Fargodome is really crazy! I'm hoping to visit NDSU, but we're trying to find a date that's good and working it out. It'll probably late spring / early summer for the visit. I also have offers from Mercer, SC State, Coastal Carolina, and Eastern Kentucky and I've also got interest from Boston College, NC State, South Carolina, Charlotte, Duke and Harvard. I'm going to visit Charlotte, Duke and BC during my spring break and probably more, but not completely nailed down yet."

NDSU won't be going away from the South Carolina quarterback.

"I really like NDSU, so I'm going to do more research and find out more about the academic side of it."
