"Just got the NDSU offer which is awesome as I've been working hard this off-season!" Illinois quarterback Chris Katrenick said to the BisonReport. "Coach Klieman is the coach that offered me and we talked about the recruiting process and how I should keep NDSU in mind for places I visit. Also all that the University has to offer. I have been talking with many of the coaches for the past couple of days and I'm not ruling any school out at this point in the process so things are going great. He wanted to offer as he loves the fact that I am a great athlete and can spin the ball. He likes my character and has heard from several people around me that I am a great kid. Also that I am a leader on the field."
Katrenick knows a bit about the Bison.
"I know they have won a ton of games and championships, which is awesome," Katrenick explained to the BisonReport. "The program and group of coaches is very neat and close and Carson Wentz is the real deal. BisoNation is very supportive! I am interested for sure! Like I said, I'm open to everything now and I will have a better feeling as the spring continues."
The Illinois quarterback does have some spring visits lined up soon.
"I'll be visiting Wisconsin this weekend, Toledo on March 18th, Bowling Green March 19th and Michigan State April 8th. I think it's possible for sure that I'll visit NDSU and I will look into the school and do my homework. I would say Miami of Ohio and Bowling green are my leader as of now, but a lot can change. I like the academics and the football programs there as well as the people and the players! I think that both schools would fit my style of play very well."
