"The visit to North Dakota State went great!," Iowa offensive lineman Cole Webster told the BisonReport. "We got to look at the stadium and the coaches offices. I also talked with the offensive line coach for a while both at lunch and pretty much right when we got there. I also saw the locker room and practice field and ended with a tour of the campus. It was a good visit."
Webster had a chat with the NDSU coaches as well.
"Coach Riley said he wants tough physical guys who and maintain blocks.. He also said that NDSU football is not fast paced, but they rather more focused on the fundamentals. He's offered no offensive linemen yet and would like to further our relationship.. He also said that the Bison staff just doesn't hand out offers. They wait until they think they will go there, then offer, so people don't get screwed because they were offered, but other people took the spot first. I think they know what they are doing and actually really respect that because I know some schools just hand out offers like its nothing."
The Iowa offensive lineman also enjoyed North Dakota State's campus and facilities.
"The campus was really nice," Webster told the BisonReport. "From what I saw, stuff on campus seemed really old or it was brand new, so it was different from what I've seen, but I still really liked it. Right now, the locker room looks kind of old, but they're re-doing that. I didn't get a chance to see the weight room because of construction, but from what I've seen about what it's going to look like, it'll be pretty nice."
A Bison offer would be a blessing for Webster.
"To play football at the college level is a lot of kid's dreams, but to do this and go to a great program like NDSU and to not have to pay for tuition would be a blessing. As of right now, my interest in the Bison is pretty high just because it has only been my second school I've seen, (Northern Illinois was the first) but I think NDSU will stay at the top of my list through most of my recruiting. I know every Saturday In April, I'll be going to junior days. I have Iowa state, Purdue, Northern Iowa, Western Illinois, Illinois state."
