"I just got off the phone with Coach Klieman and he offered me a scholarship," Illinois wide receiver Charlie Jones said to the BisonReport Friday afternoon. "He talked about how he was interested in my film and talked more about their program and then gave me an offer. They thought I was a great fit there, they liked my ball skills and thought I was a threat with the ball in my hands. They also liked my speed, so they offered a full-ride at wide receiver."
Jones is interested in seeing Fargo after his new Bison offer.
"I'm really excited," Jones explained to the BisonReport. "I've only heard great things about them and they've been doing really well the past few years. I'm for sure going to get down there to NDSU, but it might not be until the summer. I'm very interested they have a great program."
The Illinois wide receiver has another visit planned soon.
"I have an offer from Wyoming, and I've been talking to Central Michigan, Western Michigan and NIU. I'm going to Northern Illinois later today and I'm working on getting bigger and faster this spring."
