"Coach Klieman and I spoke on the phone last Tuesday and that's when he offered me," Kenosha (Wis.) defensive lineman Daviyon Nixon explained to the BisonReport. "He just basically said talked about how North Dakota State is a nice fit for me, how they've won five straight national championships and how he liked the way I played. They ended up offering me a full-ride scholarship. Coach K also talked about the tradition at NDSU and how the town rallied around the football team. Mentioned how the stadium is an awesome place to be on game day and how some of his players are being recruited by NFL teams. He talked a lot about players doing community service, the five national championships players being really popular in town and signing autographs how players really worked hard to become better. He likes my size, my quickness and the way I move, so he wanted to offer."
An NDSU visit make have to happen this fall.
"I don't know that much about North Dakota State as I haven't had time to look them up but, I know about the five national championships," Nixon said to the BisonReport. "I'm thinking about doing an official visit to Fargo this fall as I would like to get to know NDSU better and see if the Bison would be the best fit for me."
Nixon has more visits lined up here soon.
"I just visited Illinois over the weekend, plus I'll see Wisconsin and Northern Illinois again next weekend," Nixon told the BisonReport. "Northern Illinois has offered me already and Wisconsin has said they like the way I play. Illinois was talking about offering me. but then they had a switch up so we will see now. I'm also going to try and see Nebraska sometime soon too."
