"I was able to watch morning practice, meet with the coaches, tour the facilities, and tour the campus," Plymouth (Minn.) Providence Academy offensive lineman Gavin Blomberg said to the BisonReport. "Just by watching practice I was able to tell why they are champions. The intensity was off the charts. I mostly watched the offensive line practice and loved the hands on style of coach Riley. The practice was very physical, fast paced, and efficient."
Blomberg also enjoyed seeing NDSU's campus and facilities.
"Their campus was very nice," Blomberg said about NDSU. "I really liked the layout of the campus. It was really easy to transport between the school and the athletic buildings. Overall I really enjoyed the campus and loved the area as well. NDSU's facilities were outstanding. Everything from both the indoor field to outdoor fields. They have tons of practice flexibility, which is something pretty cool. The Fargodome itself is really awesome. I loved how close the facilities were so the team could move from one thing to the next very quickly. They also have new renovations on they way so the facilities will be even better."
The Minnesota offensive lineman heard from an assortment of Bison coaches.
"I talked a lot with pretty much every coach. I talked the most with coach Klieman, coach Riley, coach Entz, coach Jacobs, and coach Polasek. Riley told me that he has seen me on film and that he really likes what he sees. He hopes to see me during the evaluation period and wants to get me on the phone during the time as well. He also is looking forward to getting to know me on a personal level by building a relationship with me. Klieman was very excited to continue the recruiting process with me and is looking forward to seeing me this spring. Similar to what coach Riley had to say, it is about building a relationship with him and the other coaches. He also has seen me on film and is very excited about me as a player. For the most part, every Bison coach was just trying to get to know me as a person and help me get to know them as a program. They all know what I can do as a player they wanted to learn who I am as a person. Camp wasn't a huge discussion between the coaches and I. It all was mostly focused on the spring. It is a camp that I'm very interested in attending though."
Blomberg's teammate is already heading to NDSU next year, and Gavin wouldn't be opposed to joining him.
"Henry Van Dellen is super excited to be going there next season and he talks to me a bunch about the program and what he sees in the school from a recruits point of view. It would be amazing to get an offer from North Dakota State," Blomberg told the BisonReport. "I would get the opportunity to play football for a championship program all while earring great education. I would also have the opportunity to play with my quarterback, which would be really awesome. My interest in NDSU right now is extremely high. What other school plays for the national championship every year? You play this sport to win as a team and nobody wins as consistently as NDSU. "
