"I attended the camp last summer, and I only saw the Fargodome from outside, so I was excited to get the chance to see it and get a tour in the stadium, which was unbelievable," Mahtomedi (Minn.) wide receiver Andy Voyen said to the BisonReport. "The facilities were top-of the-line-facilities, and I fell in love right when I got there. The coaches greeted me right away, and I felt at home the moment I got there too. The quality of the spring game, and the support of the fans, that's exactly what I'm looking for."
Voyen liked what he saw from NDSU's campus and facilities as well.
"I loved their campus and the stadium is a sight to see," Voyen explained to the BisonReport. "The facilities and locker room are fantastic, and I love that academics are important and they strive for excellence in that. Plus the new weight room that's going to be surreal. The locker room is up there too, plus I love the peanut butter and jelly fridge in it! My favorite was just being in the stadium, because of the fans, quality of the stadium, and that's where the thing I love, football, is played. So for sure being in the Fargodome. I can tell that's where I want to be, the quality of the game, the support from the fans, and the experience of the Fargodome, that's what I want. I'm very excited to get back up, and see more of it!"
The Bison coaches are spoke with Voyen.
"I talked a lot with Coach Austin, he's the one this whole process has started with. He was at my table at the junior day, he was the one who gave me the tour, and he was the one to call me after he visited Mahtomedi. I love the enthusiasm their coaches have for the game as it makes the game so much fun. Austin told me that if I come to the camp, and prove to them, that I deserve it, they would offer. And that's my dream. I love NDSU. An NDSU offer would mean that they believe in me to contribute to the team, in any way possible. And that's what I want, so I would be honored to receive an offer. I'm excited to see what is to come. I'll be camping there hoping to earn an offer."
North Dakota State isn't the only college in contact with the Mahtomedi wide receiver.
"I've also heard from Cornell, Drake, UND, and Bucknell. It'll be a big summer, and good things are coming soon! I'll be camping at NDSU, Drake, UND, and Augustana, but I may add a couple more."
