"North Dakota state told me that I'm their first offer at offensive tackle," Bettendorf (Iowa.) offensive lineman Cole Webster said to the BisonReport. "Coach Klieman, their head coach, is the one who told me that they wanted to offer and he said that he was impressed with my film and the video coach Roehl took when he visited my school. They were impressed by my workout and with my film, so they wanted to offer. Honestly, it's pretty crazy and a huge honor coming from such a successful school."
Webster was already on campus in Fargo earlier this year.
"I know that they've won five titles in the past five years, which is really impressive," Webster told Scout.com. "I also know that they're coaching staff has remained pretty consistent throughout those years. I haven't talked much with coach Riley since my family and I were there, but when we were there I really liked him. I'm very interested as of right now, but I'm still going to camp just to see campus again and see how the coaches coach. I'll be going to their camp on the 25th as they're one of my top schools. They have a tradition of excellence and who wouldn't want to play for a winning team."
More visits and camps are on the agenda for Webster this summer.
"I'll be camping at North Dakota State, Iowa State, Northern Iowa and Purdue. I'll also be taking a visit to Northern Illinois as well, so it'll be a busy month here coming up. I'm not looking at deciding anytime soon as it'll be at the end of the summer at the earliest."
