2017 Blue Springs (Mo.) Tanner Taula has the Bison on top heading into a busy summer of visits

2017 Blue Springs (Mo.) Tanner Taula has the Bison on top heading into a busy summer of visits, and he spoke about his recruiting with Scout.

"I have offers from Missouri State, Columbia, Illinois State, Northern Colorado, SEMO, South Dakota, South Dakota State and North Dakota State thus far," Missouri tight end Tanner Taula said to the BisonReport. "Recruiting has gone well for me during the spring evaluation period, so I'm excited to get rolling here with camps to keep proving myself."

One of Taula's most recent offers came from the Bison of North Dakota State.

"NDSU offered on May 23rd after coach Riley had stopped by my school a couple times to watch me," Taula explained. "Coach Riley told me to call coach Klieman, who offered me, then I talked with coach Riley for a bit. Klieman said they wanted to offer as they like my length coupled with my athletic ability. I think my frame was a big part of it too. He said that they really liked me as a player and to keep working hard as they're going to offer me a full scholarship. Riley then said that NDSU is a special place. A family environment that is special place."

NDSU has caught the eye of the Missouri tight end.

"It's definitely at the top right now," Taula told Scout about his NDSU interest. "It's very exciting to be given an opportunity to go out and legitimately compete for a championship each year. I haven't visited yet, but if I can afford it, I'd like to visit. I know they've won the championship 4 or 5 times in a row now. They run a pro-style offense and they play in the FargoDome! North Dakota State is my number one school, but that's without visiting or interacting with the coaches too much. To truly be my number one, I'd have to see Fargo and see what it's about if that makes sense."

Taula already attended a few camps and has more to go to this summer.

"I was at Kansas State's camp on Friday, Iowa's on Sunday and then I'll be going to Mizzou, Nebraska and maybe Oklahoma State and Arkansas as well. I don't have any other visits planned as I'm just going to play it by ear. I'm also not looking at making a decision anytime soon as I really want to focus on my last year of high school football, so my decision will probably be after the season."
