"Luke is a great kid," Centennial (Minn.) head coach Michael Diggins said to Scout.com. "He is hard working on the field and team comes first in Luke’s eyes. He would rather see team success than his individual success. Luke is the same off the field; as he loves talking to his teachers and coaches. He always has a big smile and is willing to help others to succeed."
Diggins was very impressed with the way that NDSU recruied his defensive lineman.
"I was really involved as Luke was recruited and offered by many schools," Diggins said to the BisonReport. "There was a lot of scheduled meetings and phone conversations with Luke and the schools that were involved. All the NDSU coaches that I had contact with were top notch. They were all understanding and demonstrated respect to Luke and our school. Luke's biggest strength is his size! Luke is big and getting bigger. He has been dedicated to our schools lifting program and will continue to work hard. Luke has been working on his speed and his efforts are paying off. He has improved his agility/speed."
Chuol is going to be a player that helps NDSU on and off the field.
"Luke is a captain this season and as of now, has demonstrated positive leadership. I expect that to continue. Bison fans should expect that Luke is somebody that will work hard and be great for Fargo. He will insert himself into the community and be a positive leader."
