"It just felt right as I think it was the best fit for me," Illinois tight end Josh Babicz said about his North Dakota State decision. "I actually committed to North Dakota State on Sunday night, and I called coach Klanderman to do so, but he was in a the middle of a film session, so I got a chance to talk with Klieman and Roehl also. The conversations went really well as everyone was very excited. Coach Klieman shouted, "We got Josh Babicz", to the whole coaching staff, and they were pumped, so that was cool to hear. Coach Roehl just told me congrats and that he's excited to get to work with me going forward."
"NDSU as told me that they want to use me as a flex tight end type," Babicz explained to the BisonReport. "That's exactly the way I like to play. I like to get the ball as much as I can, so I'm alright with that position. My parents are good with my decision as well. They let me make the decision on my own, plus I have a cousin that goes to UND, so I have family near me still. Of all my choices, I had NDSU was the best choice, because of the way the program was run, the coaching staff, the facilities, academics, and probably the big part of it was the fan base. I just feel relieved that I don't have to worry about recruiting during the season anymore. I also think I'm done with the recruiting process now, as I don't think my dad wants to drive anymore to any other schools and I'm very happy with my choice. Go Bison!"
