"When we first arrived, it was during the pre-game warm ups, so I got to really take in everything about the NDSU football game," California defensive tackle Ravontae Holt said to the BisonReport. "After the game I went into the locker room with the team, and then we went out to dinner and then I spent time with the players that night, and then Sunday I got a chance to go on a lot of tours, so it was a great visit."
"The games was great as I've been to a game with an atmosphere as good as North Dakota State's," Holt explained to Scout.com. "My host for the visit was Jabril Cox, and he was a real cool dude that I got along with pretty well. His message to me was as long as you like working hard and winning games, you'll be fine. Their motto there is next man up, and that's true for all of them. I talked a lot with coach Cain and Goeser while on the visit, and Cain told me about the school and how much I'll love it there. Other than that, it was just a regular conversation as we already have talked on the phone so much before the trip. They want me as a three technique on their defensive line and I could see myself at that position."
More trips are on the docket for the California lineman.
"I'd say my interest in NDSU is at an 8.5 as I liked the school and it had everything I asked for, the only down side is it's far from home, so I'll actually say it was a 9," Holt told the BisonReport. "They're at the top of my list, but I still have some visits to go on. I'll be taking an official visit to Wyoming on December 9th, and I plan on making a decision in January. It gives me to time to make my decision and I want to decide before signing day."
