Bison DE signee Tanner Sundt can't wait to play for the fans at North Dakota State

Farmington (Minn.) defensive lineman and new NDSU signee Tanner Sundt is the latest Bison to sign in the 2017 class and he went in-depth with the BisonReport.com to share more about his reasons to sign with North Dakota State.

BisonReport.com: What is your current height and weight? What weight would the NDSU staff like you to report at this summer?

Tanner SundtMy current height is 6'4 and my current weight is 237 pounds. They said I don't really need to change my weight until I get up there and to just try and maintain my weight throughout the hockey season.

BisonReport.com: What are your individual and team goals you hope to accomplish during your college career?

TS: I want to win national championships and I already know there are great leaders on the team coming in that want the same thing!

BisonReport.com: What are you looking to work on the most this spring to prepare yourself for Missouri Valley football?

TS: I am looking to be more flexible and quicker off the ball to beat guys!

BisonReport.com What future moment are you looking forward to the most as a Bison?

TS: I look forward to being apart of the Bison and winning national championships.

BisonReport.com: What was the main reason you chose to attend North Dakota State University?

TS: The main reason I chose to attend North Dakota State University is because of the support. Every place I visited wasn't even in the same ball park compared to NDSU's fan base.

BisonReport.com: What team do you want to beat the most as a Bison and why?

TS: I want to take down the Oregon Ducks in a couple years at their home opener and prove that we are top 25 ranked team in the nation.

BisonReport.com: Is there any unfinished academic business or are you all set to enroll at NDSU?

TS: I have already applied at NDSU and have been accepted, so I'm ready to go!

BisonReport.com: If you don't make it to the NFL, where do you see yourself in 10 years?

TS: I see myself having a family and doing a job where I can help people.

BisonReport.com: What is it about Coach Klieman and the coaching staff that makes you want to play for them?

TS: They all want to win and compete at everything they do and I love that.

BisonReport.com: What is something you learned about North Dakota State University that surprised you during the recruiting process?

TS: The amount of support they have surprised me the most to be honest. Also how loud the stadium is during the game, it's crazy!

BisonReport.com: What position do you expect to play at NDSU? What other position did the Bison staff mention as a possibility?

TS: I expect to play a six technique defensive end pass rusher and that's what the coaching staff sees me as!

BisonReport.com: What have the coaches told you regarding how they plan to utilize your strengths as a player?

TS: They plan to have me play six technique defensive end for passing situations.

BisonReport.com: Have you had any communication with other NDSU recruits and if so what?

TS: All of us recruits have a group message and we are all pumped to get to NDSU!

BisonReport.com: What player do you model your game after and why?

TS: J.J. Watt is what I'd like to model my game after because he is a hard worker and has earned everything he's got!
