"First, I got to watch their intense, competitive practice," Minnesota wide receiver Phoenix Sproles said to the BisonReport. "Then I met with the head coach who is a great man and a leader. Then I met with coach Austin the receivers coach and he was telling me how discipline his receivers are, something I admire. Then I toured their outstanding facility. I liked the refuel station they have in the weight room. Then we had lunch and talk with some more coaches again and then we left. It was a great/humbling visit."

"Their practice was high intensity and everyone was getting reps," Sproles explained. "You can see them get better on every rep. The campus is beautiful and the facilities are top of the line too. I talked a lot with coach Austin, and he was just talking about how hard his receivers work. He was also talking about all the things his receivers need to do off the field... just holding themselves accountable. I like coach Austin's coaching style. Coach Klieman is the coach that offered me and he liked how I carried myself and he liked what I could do on both sides of that ball, but he likes me most at wide receiver. I'm very comfortable with playing wide receiver, so I'm good with that. My mom was also with on the visit and she likes coach Austin as well. She also likes the program and how much the coaches actually care about their players."

"I like NDSU and it's early in the process still, but I like them. I'll be back this summer with like six players from my team to camp there. I don't know if I'm participating but I'll definitely be there. NDSU is towards the top of my list because of the great opportunities there on and off the field, but I'll probably make a decision before the football season or after."
