"I've been to NDSU, University of Iowa, South Dakota State, and my coach took some of the recruits from my high school team to a few of the U of Minnesota's spring practices and I've talked to a few of the coaches there," Eden Prairie linebacker Antonio Montero said to Scout.com. "I was also at Minnesota-Duluth's Junior Day and I received my first scholarship offer from Bemidji State. At North Dakota State, we checked out the sports facilities, met with most of the coaches, watched their spring game and I walked around campus for a few hours. I was very impressed with the Bison campus as it had a good feel to it and there seemed to be a lot of life on campus with a bunch of different things to do. Their facilities were great and I loved everything about them."
"I talked a lot with coach Shepherd and Entz while I was there," Montero explained. "I introduced myself to coach Shep and he seemed excited that I was there. He said he had watched my film and loved it and was pumped that I had made the trip. He was a very friendly guy. I had a pretty long talk with coach Entz, we talked about NDSU football for a little bit, we talked a little bit about next season and how I've been progressing and getting better since the season ended. He thanked me for visiting and I would see him at my school in a few weeks. I was hoping to go to the NDSU camp, but my mom already bought tickets to go to the Air Force Force academy during that time. I'm going to the Northwestern Showcase, U of Minnesota, and Iowa State for my other camps."
Montero is hoping that the Bison continue to follow his progress.
"I have high interest in NDSU and I could definitely see myself playing there," Montero told the BisonReport. "I'll visit Air Force, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Yale, Davidson, Drake, Holy Cross, Cornell, possibly Iowa State next."
