"Well I got the offer from NDSU last week and then shortly after SDSU called me and offered me," St. Cloud defensive back James Kaczor said to Scout.com. "Iowa came to watch me workout a couple weeks back and now I've been talking with them. I've heard from Northern Iowa and Western Illinois lately. I've been in contact with Montana State for awhile as well as Princeton, South Dakota and Brown."
North Dakota State had to make sure they saw Kaczor live this spring.
"Well Coach Klieman came to school last week and I worked out for him," Kaczor explained. "Then he told me to call him, and when I did, he offered me. But I've been in most contact with Coach Hedberg. We talked about getting me up to camp and showing the coaches what I can do. He used to coach at SCSU so he is familiar with my family and I because I've had siblings go there. At first they made it seemed like I wasn't going to get an offer unless I go to camp so it was a pleasant surprise to receive the offer. Coach Klieman told me from what he saw in the morning workout that he can check off another box for me because I proved I can move well. He said I'm one of the best tacklers he's seen in a while and he could picture me playing safety or outside backer for the Bison. He's excited to get me up to camp and have me work with the defensive staff."
"It means a lot to receive an offer from NDSU," Kaczor told the BisonReport. "They are such a prestigious football program it's humbling to be given the chance to play for them. I'm excited to get to know the staff when I go to camp and learn more about the program. I'll be going to camp in June and that will help me decide my next steps in my recruitment with the Bison. I'm also thinking of camping at Iowa, SDSU and Minnesota. NDSU is definitely in my top five right now and somewhere in really interesting in going. I think I'll have a pretty good idea of where I want to go by the end of the summer."
