"I've heard the most from probably North Dakota State, Fordham, Indiana State, Wyoming, Minnesota, Lehigh and Holy Cross," Illinois athlete Destin Talbert said to Scout.com. "Those are the schools I'd say I've heard from most in the past week, and they've mostly been checking in and asking what camps I'm going to and inviting me to their camps or campuses."
"Coach Klanderman is the Bison coach that offered me and he said they like my speed and size combination," Talbert explained to Scout.com. "They see me as a potential playmaker on either side of the ball. I'm primarily a receiver, but I'll play wherever is necessary for the team to win. I know that NDSU is a very successful FCS school with multiple national titles in recent years, and that they're located in a town that loves their college football and fills up the stands every game. I also know that NDSU is a highly ranked academic institution."
The Bison are sitting well for Talbert heading into more visits.
"NDSU is somewhere in the top for me right now for all those reasons I listed," Talbert told the BisonReport. I've thought about taking a visit there, but I'm not sure when / if it's happening soon. All of the other schools that have offered have the same chance as anyone else too. As far as visits, I went to the NCC and Northwestern camps, and I plan to visit the Ivy League schools in New York this weekend. I'm not sure when I'll make a decision yet."
