Defensive Back - Leslie Majors Recruiting Analyst Josh Clark gives an update on South Holland (Ill.) Thornwood defensive back Leslie Majors. Do the Huskies have a shot? Take a look.

The Chicago area is loaded with talent in 2003 in particular with such names as defensive end Tim Jamison and linebacker Kyle Williams. Another name popping up on the list of many college recruiters is Leslie Majors.

Major is undeniably one of the better prospects in the Chicago land area, and it goes to show with the schools still showing interest.

"Right now, I have offers from Indiana, Northern Illinois, Kansas, and Ball State," said Majors. "I'm also hearing regularly from Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and I've heard from Oregon. I'm just sitting back right now listening to the schools before I take my visits."

What does his visit schedule look like right now?

"I have an official set to Indiana for December 5th, and one to Ball State on December 12th. I'm sure I will use some other visits, but no plans have been finalized to this point."

A recent program to offer Majors was the Kansas Jayhawks. How do they currently sit with Majors?

"I think Kansas is a very good program. They have let me know I could come in right away to make an early contribution at cornerback. There is a good chance we could set up a visit."

As well, Majors may very well be on the way to other schools banging on his door for a visit?

"A lot of the schools, like Iowa, have told me if I raise my ACT scorew we can begin to talk more seriously about an offer."
