We spoke with three prospects that have Northern Illinois on their short list. Wisconsin's John West and a couple of Illinois prospects, defensive tackle Darrell Reed and cornerback Leslie Majors are all looking at the Huskies.
West is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver/cornerback from Oak Creek, Wisconsin hasn't been offered by NIU and is awaiting his ACT test score. West looked solid on film and we feel he could be a good addition to any D-1 program.
Leslie Majors, from South Holland (Thornwood) is likely to sign with Indiana (12-5) but the Huskies could get in the thick of things if they get Majors on campus for a visit. Leslie has a visit set with Ball State for December 12th.
Darrell Reed is a run plugging defensive tackle from Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Reed is very good against the run and shows decent speed and athletic ability for his size. Defensive tackles are at a premium and Reed would be worth a look. The Huskies haven't offered yet.
