INDIANA: is the best team they play with a hunger no team in the nation has. MICHIGAN: I feel will beat the Hoosiers if they meet in the FINAL FOUR or National Championship game. MICH ST: reminds me of the Boston Celtics or New England Patriots. During NCAA's (post-season) u don't want to play them. MINNESOTA: is talented. Tubby Smith's best team since Kentucky days. IOWA: is better than last season!! PURDUE: will be a NIT TEAM! PENN STATE: will struggle without FRAZIER! NEBRASKA: got "Big Country" in the middle and big fella can play! NU: if they want to "dance" got to be more consistent! ILLINOIS: Can be an Elite 8 team. Brandon Paul best player in the BigTen. WISCONSIN: They are a mystery to me. Team who is use to being on the national stage but they have a Young squad. OHIO STATE: OSU Have a team full of Pros, with potential to go far in the tournament and even reach the Final Four again. Need to focus on Defense first offense second. BUCKEYES if they do that will be dangerous
I don't think Illinois' bigs are good enough to win the Big Ten. They can be a Sweet 16 team if things fall correctly but I don't see their frontcourt holding up in Big Ten play. I like Nnanna Egwu (Chicago product) and he's a defensive presence, but they don't have depth down low-while their guards are sure to put up nice numbers, particularly in Groce's offense, they'll have issues long-term. My two cents.
Your two cents are extremely appreciated LOL!!!! But Illinois has toughness and depth. They have talented players who play hard. D.J. Richardson and Tyler Griffey spreads the court on the wings so you cant help. Egwu does the Ben Wallace/Dennis Rodman dirty work around the basket. Then you have Brandon Paul who does it all. This team is similar to that Frank Williams and Cory Bradford team which went to the elite 8.
