Nate Ashworth, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound, linebacker from Indianapolis (Roncalli) will be a prospect to watch in 2003.
Ashworth had 96 tackles, recovered three fumbles and had an interception in 2002. He was named junior all-state by the Bloomington Herald-Times.
"Nate is being contacted from all the Big Ten schools and MAC schools," said Roncalli head coach Bruce Scifres.
"Because of Nate's academic and athletic accomplishments, he has gotten letters from over 300 schools, from D-1 to D-III.
"The military academies as well as Nebraska, Oklahoma, Miami (Fla.) and USC have all expressed interest."
Ashworth currently lists Northwestern as his favorite. Purdue and Indiana are also at the top of his wish list.
Ashworth carries a 4.48 GPA on a 4.0 scale and will major in pre-medicine or pre-law in college.
