Kelley Ruling Out Northwestern

With just over a month till signing day, B.J. Kelley (Central High East Campus, Fresno, CA) is nearing a decision. Kelley still has plans on doing two more visits, and then will make a commitment. However, Kelley did decide he will not be making the trip to Northwestern, and has ruled out the Wildcats.

"They're still a top school, but I'm probably not going to go there," said B.J. Kelley. "It's a little too far away. They have a great program, and I appreciate them looking at me."

It is 2,150 miles between Fresno, CA, and Evanston, IL, and Kelley admits he would like to stay closer to home. All of Kelley's other options are located on the west coast.

The 6-2, 175 lb. three-star WR is considering Oregon, Arizona State, Cal Poly, and Fresno State. All of his favorites have offered as well as Arizona, San Diego State and a few others. Kelley is waiting to take his last two visits, Oregon and Cal Poly, and then he plans on making his final commitment.

"Right now, I'm looking forward to my last two trips," said Kelley. "All my trips have been great. I'm going to take my last two trips, evaluate, and then make my decision."

Kelley has been open about his strong interest of Oregon, who is set to play in the National Championship on January 10th. With a few weeks till the game, Kelley admits to being very excited to watch the Ducks, and made a bold prediction.

"I'm excited I get to watch them. They're going to win probably. They never quit. I'm excited for them."
