Youngblood-Ary Down To Two

There's less than a month remaining till national signing day, and Xavier Youngblood-Ary (Lake Brantley HS, Altamonte Springs, FL) has made his final cuts. The 6'3, 192-lb. wide receiver is down to two schools, and is going to take a few weeks to make his decision.

"It's Northwestern and Rice," said Youngblood-Ary. "Those are my final two."

Youngblood-Ary holds offers from Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, and Navy, but has eliminated all of those from his list, and will focus on the Wildcats and Owls.

Youngblood-Ary recently visited Rice, and took an unofficial visit to Northwestern over the summer. He said he frequently hears from Rice and Northwestern coaches, including NU head coach Pat Fitzgerald.

"They've just been calling to keep in touch and see how things are going," Youngblood-Ary said.

With a little less than a month to decide, Youngblood-Ary said he will use the next few weeks to make his decision. Xavier admits there aren't any other schools, and he isn't waiting for anything new, he just wants to take his time.

"It'll come in the next couple weeks, I'm just taking the time to think it over," Youngblood-Ary said when asked about his decision timetable.

Youngblood-Ary said playing time and location aren't a factor in his decision, he just wants what fits him best.

Youngblood-Ary reports a 4.52 40-yard dash, and has recorded a 3.56 GPA.
