That hasn't stopped coaches from contacting the young state champion.
Although he has never toured the campus, Alviti has been to Northwestern four or five times and has gotten a feel for the coaches and the program.
"I talked to Coach Fitz and Coach McCall," he said. "Coach Fitz is obviously going to be there for awhile. That's what he loves."
While Alviti undoubtedly has many more visits to come, he likes what he has seen from Northwestern so far.
"I like how it's close to home; it's 15 minutes away," he said. "The facilities are nice indoors and the field is great.
"I was there on gameday and the coaches were real lively and rael intense. They love having fun," he added. "They have crisp practices. I was there during the bowl game week a couple times and they were having a lot of fun, playing games after practice."
Alviti was also impressed with the team and how they and the coaches interacted with each other.
"The coaches know how to interact with the players," he said. "The players seemed really close to each other. They seemed like a good group of guys."
