Reed Excited To Visit Northwestern

With spring practices right around the corner, cornerback Jonathan Reed's recruitment has started to heat up.

The junior from Pike High School (Indianapolis, IN) says that he plans to start visiting more schools during the spring season, including Northwestern.

"I'm coming up to spring practices and spring games and I'm attending the [Northwestern] camp this summer," Reed said. "I should probably get offered at camp or the spring game."

Reed has a lengthy list of offers already, naming Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan State, Michigan, Louisville, Cincinnati, Indiana, Purdue, Toledo, Penn State, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas Sate, Iowa, Missouri, and Bowling Green as potential schools, along with NU.

So far, he only has offers from Toledo and Bowling Green, but expects to receive more when he attends camps over the summer.

While Reed is playing no favorites, he is interested in what Northwestern has to offer.

"I am taking a visit soon," he said. "I like the way they recruit me. They have great history, great academics. It's a nice area and the school is not very far from me. I like Northwestern."

Reed also plans to visit a number of other schools around the Midwest in the coming months.

"I'm going to IU on Saturday and next week I have Michigan State," he said. "I have Cincinnati coming up and Northern Illinois, Penn State, Iowa, and Missouri."

With so many schools to see in during the spring and summer, Reed is keeping an open mind.

"I'm pretty much open," he said.
