Badgers Off To Hot Start

Northwestern has shot the ball well in the first half, but Wisconsin has been better. The Badgers enter halftime shooting 65.4%, and lead the Wildcats, 43-30.

The Wildcats enter the locker room shooting 50%, but all 30 points have come from John Shurna, Davide Curletti, and Michael Thompson. Shurna leads the Wildcats with 11 points, while Curletti has 10 points, just two points shy of his career-high.

Wisconsin senior forward John Leuer leads the Badgers in scoring with 11 points.

Entering the break, the Badgers are 17-26 from the field, and 4-8 from beyond the arc. Northwestern has had no answer for Wisconsin's offensive attack.

The first half got off to a promising start for the Badgers, who took an early 9-0 lead in the first 3:52. After a timeout, Northwestern was able to regroup, and cut the deficit to six. However, that's the closest the Wildcats could get in the half.

Mike Capocci was given the start over Jershon Cobb. This is just the second time that Cobb has not been in the starting lineup this season.
