The Rumors were true...
6-2 Freshman Shooting Guard Evan Seacat apparently thought long and hard about leaving NU after last season.
According to Nick Collins' story in the Daily Northwestern, Seacat would have joined Jimmy Maley and Center Thomas Soltau as former Wildcats.
Rumors flew hard and fast after the season about how he was upset with
his playing time as a frosh. According to his father, quoted in the
article, it was more a personal issue.
Seacat was a regular off the bench for Bill Carmody last year, playing
in 23 of 28 games averaging 6.6 minutes. He was 24-72 from the field
and 21-66 from the arc. Scored 16 Points against UIC.
Many fans see him as the Wildcats' future long scoring threat off the
bench. In any case, Evan is still a Cat, most fans welcome his decision. Here's the Daily Northwestern Article
