NU Has DePietro Impressed

When 2012 OT Adam DePietro (6'4, 250) first arrived in Evanston, he did not know much about the university. While he did not know what to expect, he immediately fit in.

"I really liked what I saw when I was up there," said Adam DePietro. " [What really stuck out was] just the people. It set them apart a bit. They are a great group of guys to be around. They have high goals and expectations. All the coaches are great. I love (offensive line coach) Cushing."

After a memorable first impression, Adam is looking forward to going back up to the school this summer.

"I'm going to see [Northwestern] again sometime in June. I'm going to take my mom up there. She wants to see it."

DePietro, who visited NU in early April, is not finished with his visits at this point, and has not narrowed his list down at all.

Thus far, DePietro hold offers from Northwestern, Boston College, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Villanova, and West Virginia.

The Lancaster, PA native says that staying in state is not important to him, although both Pitt and Penn State have shown interest.

Depietro already know what he's specifically looking for in a school. One of his main priorities is academics.

"Academics are pretty important, and the academics at Northwestern are excellent."

It has been speculated that the offensive tackle will have to make a change to offensive guard in college (something he is willing to do), NU has told him that they want him to stay at tackle should he commit.

DePietro is planning to make a decision in late July or August
