The matchups for the 13th annual Big Ten-ACC Challenge were released on Tuesday, with Northwestern drawing a familiar foe. They will rematch with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Atlanta.
The Wildcats and Yellow Jackets will on Tuesday, November 29th, in Phillips Arena. These two teams met in Evanston last season, with Northwestern
pulling a 91-71 win over Georgia Tech
. That was the first matchup between these two teams.
Last season, the Yellow Jackets finished the season with a 13-18 record, and 5-11 in ACC play. Georgia Tech is now coached by Brian Gregory, who was hired in March after an eight-year run with Dayton.
NU will return four starters for this matchup, including senior forward John Shurna, who recently withdrew his name from NBA Draft considerations and returned to Northwestern.
In their matchup last season, Northwestern finished with six players in double-figures, led by John Shurna's 21 points and four three-pointers.
