Bain Interested In Northwestern

Northwestern is keeping an eye on Bolingbrook offensive lineman Robert Bain. Last fall, Bain took two visits to Evanston to see the Wildcats play, and spoke highly of the experience.

Bain (6'3, 267) wants a school with a "good atmosphere and campus life", which is why Northwestern stuck out to him on his visits last season.

"I really liked it." said Bain.

His current interest level is medium, and he is also interested in the elite academics the university is known for, citing it as a major factor in his choice.

"It has to be a good academic school." Bain said.

Bain currently has offers from Colorado State, Buffalo, Bowling Green, Western Kentucky, Florida International, Akron, and Northern Illinois. While staying close to home is not a huge factor for him, the Bolingbrook native is hoping to soon land offers from two in-state schools, Northwestern and Illinois.

Thus far, Bain has not narrowed his list down yet, and wants to take his time in his decision. Wherever he goes, Bain has his collegiate goals planned out.

"I want to compete for championships, and help my team in any way possible and be a good contributor."

Bain plans on taking his time in making a commitment, and is planning out more visits for the summer.

As a junior, Bain helped his Bolingbrook Raiders to a playoff berth in the Illinois 8A playoffs. They would be defeated in the first round by Mount Carmel, the eventual state runner-ups.
