Outside Looking In

Dade Christian School quarterback Bilal Marshall (Miami, FL) has narrowed down his options. Unfortunately for Northwestern fans, the Wildcat's didn't make the cut for this dual threat quarterback.

The three-star quarterback said he was pleased to get the offer from Northwestern, but that the school didn't quite make the cut.

"I think they're a great program, I think they're going to be a solid team in a few years, and going to be something special," Bilal Marshall said. "They've offered, but I've narrowed down my list and they aren't on it."

Marshall said he liked Northwestern as a program, but that he "felt like there were better opportunities for [him] to get on the field and be successful at different schools."

Marshall has offers from 10 schools: Northwestern, Baylor, Boston College, Duke, Florida International, Kansas, Memphis, Purdue, Rutgers, and Wake Forest. He said that he has currently narrowed his search down to a top-four list including Duke, Purdue, Wake Forest, and Kansas.

"Basically, all four had great academic schools and great football programs, Marshall said. "They were somewhere where I know for a fact I'm going to be very successful in my four to five years there, and I'll be able to have fun."

Marshall represents good size and speed for a dual-threat quarterbackk, and is listed at 6'2", 170 pounds with a listed 4.6 40-yard dash. Marshall threw for 1358 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, and also ran for 971 yards and seven touchdowns.
