Singleton To Camp At NU

East Ridge (FL) High School running back Jerami Singleton is getting looks from a number of schools including Northwestern, and will camp in Evanston on July 27th.

"I went to the National Underclassmen Combine and did really well," Jerami Singleton said when asked about his summer so far. "I placed in the top 3 running backs at the Ultimate 100 camp and I'm going out to Oklahoma for their national event." Singleton has one college camp in mind as well.

"I plan on going to Northwestern for their camp on the 27th," he said. "I spoke to them and they said they like my physically and it's just that I need to get my ACT scores up. I'm working on that because I'm very interested in them."

While he doesn't have any offers yet, Singleton is keeping in contact with a few other schools as well.

"I've been talking to Eastern Michigan, Charleston Southern, and South Alabama as well," he said. "I just gotta keep working hard and I think good things will happen."

As a prospect: At 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, Singleton shared playing time at running back last season but certainly made the most of his opportunities, averaging almost nine yards per carry. He has excellent speed and quickness to make things happen, especially in the open field. Those things make him a threat to score every time he touches it. He'll need to prove he can go between the tackles for a good number of times a game. He has Div 1 tools so he'll be one to keep an eye on in the next few months.
