"I want to meet the head coach first of all," said Guito Ervilus. "I want a homey-type atmosphere, a good support system, and a place where they take care of athletes. I want to hear about that."
Ervilus is hoping to find a school with the right mix of academics and athletics.
"I'm looking for a school that has both education and football," he said. "Football doesn't go on forever."
Throughout his recruitment, Ervilus has attracted plenty of attention because of his versatility. He plays wide receiver, tight end, running back, defensive end, and linebacker. Ervilus feels he is a better linebacker, but added, "I'm pretty good at d-end too."
Ervilus is set to make the long trip from Orlando to Evanston, but that distance won't be a problem in his decision-making process. He is just looking for the right feel.
Overall, Ervilus feels Northwestern could be a nice fit, but wants to see more on his visit.
"I think it's a good academic program and it would be good for me to come and play there," Ervilus said.
As a junior, Ervilus finished with 20 catches and three touchdowns on offense. On defense, he had 38 tackles and three sacks.
